Lesson 1
LESSON 1 [GOD]
We all need to understand God in order to understand who we are, why God created us, and why we are here on this planet. In this lesson you will be began to understand the God who created the universe, the One who existed before there was time.
The study of God is called Theology. It’s the study of God’s character, nature and power. In order to understand who God is, we must first understand that God is Eternal. He never had a beginning and He will never have an ending. He needs no one, He needs nothing. He is self-sustaining, which means He exists through the power that is within Himself.
God lives in the heavens according to Isaiah 66:1, “Thus saith the Lord, The heavens is my throne, and the earth is my footstool”. He is the creator of all universes and all planets. And he upholds [supports and maintains] all His creations according to Hebrews 1:3, “Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of his person, and [upholding all things by the word of his power]”.
